Literacy Volunteers...
Helping to change
someone else's life
will change yours too!

  • Tutors
    • Basic Literacy
      Volunteer tutors are trained to help adults improve their reading, writing or math skills. Tutors participate in ten hours of training classes and are provided with materials to use with their students.
    • E.S.L.
      Volunteers work one--to-one with students or assist staff with small groups to help adults learn to speak, read and write English. Volunteers are trained and provided with materials. Volunteers do not have to know another language.

  • Other Volunteer Opportunities Include:
    • Assist students with literacy skills in our computer-assisted Learning Center
    • Coordinate family literacy activities
    • Annual fundraising events
    • General office work
